Know your Sewing Machine

Full Day Class - £37.50

No current date available

This class is for individuals who are new to using a sewing machine, either for the first time or perhaps after years of it gathering dust in a cupboard somewhere, and for those that have treated themselves to a new machine and want to know how to get the best out of it's features and functions.

For machine patchwork and quilting you need quite a few skills that are reliant on a good working knowledge of your sewing machine.

It doesn't matter what your machine is but you should ensure it is in good working order before attending.

Here is an example of what I will help you with in class on the day:

•Thread your machine
•Wind the bobbin and insert it
•Change the needle and the presser feet
•Adjust stitch width and length
•Sew a 1/4" seam

•Select and use alternative stitches
•Drop the feed dogs for free motion work

•Attach a walking foot
