Gift Vouchers

Gift Vouchers are available in £5, £10 and £25 denominations - to purchase please contact me on 0121 474 5968 or 07881 948834

They are valid for 6 months from the date of issue.

They can be used as part or full payment towards class bookings only, and must be redeemed in full as no change will be given.

Gift Vouchers may not be exchanged for cash. Photocopies or scanned images will not be accepted.

Where a class booking paid for using gift vouchers is subsequently cancelled, a refund will not be given.  However, you may be able to transfer to a new class under the general Terms and Conditions as shown below.

Tutors

Patchwork and Quilting Classes are taught by Joy Edgington

Crochet classes are taught by Margaret Buckley

Foundation Piecing Happiness Classes are taught by Denise Geach

Holiday or emergency cover for Patchwork and Quilting classes is provided by Margaret Buckley or Denise Geach

Holiday or emergency cover for Happiness classes is provided by Joy Edgington

Support or additional cover from others may also be provided from time to time and students will be notified as appropriate

Day Classes

Bookings must be made in advance and be accompanied by full payment as stated in the class description. A refund (less a £20 cost for administration) can only be given if notice of cancellation is received at least 8 weeks prior to the start of the class.

Where notice is received less than 8 weeks prior to the start of the class or course a refund will only be given (less a £20 cost for administration) if I am able to fill the place from the waiting list.

Monies cannot be transferred to another class unless a request is received at least 8 weeks prior to the start of the class or I am able to fill the place from the waiting list.

Short Course and Block of the Month programmes

Bookings must be made in advance and be accompanied either by payment in full or a joining payment followed by regular monthly payments as appropriate.  These payments are payable a month in advance, as stated in the programme description.  A refund (less a £20 cost for administration) can only be given if notice of cancellation is received at least 8 weeks prior to the start of the course or programme. 

 

Where notice is received less than 8 weeks prior to the start of the class or course a refund will only be given (less a £20 cost for administration) if I am able to fill the place from the waiting list.

Once the programme has commenced all agreed payments must be made irrespective of attendance. This is to protect the viability of the course for all participants. Please note: payments are taken a month in advance of the class programme starting and run until the full number agreed have been taken, irrespective of actual class dates. This means that there may be months where a payment is taken but no class is held during that particular month. However, this also means that there may be two classes held in one month or that there will be classes held at the end of the programme where no monthly payment is taken.

Missed Course Dates

Due to scheduling constraints there is no general provision for class dates to be exchanged. However, If, at the time of booking a course, you notify me that you will be missing for one of the scheduled dates for your course, you will be offered a Catch-Up session to ensure that you don't fall behind at no additional cost. 

 

If at some later point during the course, you decide to miss a date then you should let me have the appropriate details giving as much notice as possible – by e-mail is preferable.  In these situations, I will provide you with any handouts or instruction sheets relevant to the missed class.  Additionally, you will have the opportunity to book a Start to Finish class at the reduced price of £25 for a full day or £15 for a half day to enable you to receive more guidance relating to the missed class.

 

If you need to miss a class due to a serious unforeseen circumstance such as an accident, hospitalisation or bereavement, please notify me within 2 weeks of the class date. In this instance you will be offered a free catch-up session to ensure that you don't fall behind.

 

You should be aware that Catch Up sessions are subject to availability and will generally be led by Margaret Buckley or Denise Geach so as to reduce the impact on classes running at the same time.

Administrative Cancellations

Occasionally, due to a lack of demand, I may have to cancel a class at short notice. In this circumstance a full refund will be given, and no administration charge will be made.

On occasion circumstances outside of my control, such as a power failure or adverse weather conditions, may mean that I deem it necessary to postpone a class at short notice due to safety concerns. All registered participants will be notified individually by text or phone with as much notice as possible. This will generally be during the evening before the scheduled class date.

 

In these circumstances the class will be rescheduled for an alternative date wherever possible.  Where this is not possible, each registered student will be able to book a free Catch Up class on a suitable date instead.  Refunds will not be given in these circumstances.

Customer Privacy

Pastures New Quilting (PNQ) is committed to protecting the privacy of its customers. PNQ will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations 2018 (GDPR 2018).  

 

PNQ collects information about you to process your booking and provide relevant joining instructions.  Your data will be stored in a secure manner and your personal data will only be used in connection with your relationship with PNQ.

 

PNQ will only send promotional newsletters, emails or mail to you with your prior consent and will not pass any of your information to third parties. 

 

The personal details that PNQ will require in order to process and confirm your booking are:

 

Your Name, Address, Telephone number and Email address

Pastures New Quilting reserves the right to modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Any modification of these terms will be deemed to be effective from the date and time of posting on the Pastures New Quilting web site.
